And she was finally "freed" into her Habitat...

The initial name was Fiat 1101 Campagnola and then transformed into AR 59 where AR is the acronym for Reconnaissance Vehicle and the number indicates the year the model went into production. It was adopted by the Italian Army, by Public Security, then by the Police, by the Carabinieri, by the Fire Brigade. Many of us who served in the military will certainly remember this vehicle which was supposed to be the first Italian jeep.

Beautiful and complete with its original features, it was recovered by our friend and enthusiast, Moreno, who allowed us to carry out a philological and conservative restoration, with some small personal license, to bring it back to what we believe to be its natural environment of use.

With reduced gear and all-wheel drive inserted, we attack the steep slopes that take us into the dense woods of our beautiful Alps with a piece of our motoring history...
